Roxanich

Located in the heart of the Istrian peninsula, just below the medieval town of Motovun, surrounded with local vineyards, truffle forests and tranquil sceneries of river Mirna valley.

Built by the Austro-Hungarians in the 19th century, the building originally served as the communal wine cellar (cantina sociale) and was operational until 1990. After the acquisition, Istrian winemaker Mladen Rožanić - Roxanich wines, redesigns the estate to become winery and luxurious boutique hotel with 32 accommodation units and an underground wine cellar.

A state-of-the-art underground wine cellar is spread over 4 floors, each one of it planned for a specific wine production stage, with a tasting room located on the top level.

Malvazijica

It shows a nice medium deep golden color. Nose is a bit closed at the time and shows a range of flowery notes with dry herbs over riper yellow fruits and touch of toasty notes. As with most of our whites, these notes are nicely knit. It is dry with oily texture and good levels of mouth-watering acidity. Although it is quite warm it offers a surprising elegance and depth of character which is even more diverse and layered than on the nose.
